The annual Christmas at the Sturgeon House is nearly upon us.  On Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3, the Sturgeon House will be open for visitors with warm wassail and cookies for all who attend.  Near the glowing fireplace with be the Misery Bay Dulcimers who come each year to play and sing songs of the season for a few hours each day.    The House will be decorated in a holiday style – this year it reflects Swedish customs.  Those who have ordered door wreaths may pick them up during the open hours.

In the “Quilt Room” will be a baked goods and miscellaneous sale.  Fresh baked goodies!  Oh, my!  In the meeting room will be a Chinese Auction, plus card tables decorated with “various special dinner” settings for you to enjoy and maybe take a hint from them.  The winning ticket for the quilt will be drawn at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

You will meet old friends at this Open House, and will linger long to catch up on the news of friends and families.

Plan to come:  Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Noon to 4 p.m.  Admission is free.  Come enjoy the ambiance of Christmas.
